Mold growth was found along the edges of an electrical outlet and near the baseboards. The homeowner wanted brand-new wallpaper and trim added to their living space without having to disrupt it.
We let them know that poor airflow causes moisture accumulation or high relative humidity (RH), which creates conditions for mold to grow. Therefore, simply covering over the mold was inadequate.
Before replacing the wallpaper and baseboard, we took care of localized remediation on all surfaces with mold damage. We also recommended leaving a gap behind the sofa to keep air moving.
